- Open your Trezor hardware wallet box – verify the packaging is sealed and hologram untampered.
- Connect your device via USB and go to trezor.io/start on your trusted browser.
- Download Trezor Suite – official desktop management software – compatible with all major operating systems.
- Install and launch Trezor Suite, then follow the on-screen instructions to initialize your device.
- Install the latest firmware as prompted. Updates bring new features and critical security enhancements.
- When offered "Create New Wallet", select your recovery method: classic seed or secure Shamir Backup for maximum protection.
- Write your recovery seed on the provided card—never digital. No photos. No cloud.
- Set your PIN and optional passphrase for advanced, multi-layer security.
- Add multiple cryptocurrencies (BTC, ETH, ADA, etc.) and manage them in one place.
